Hi! I'm a hobby solo developer who vibe coded this web app for myself and my friends.

I had a simple problem: splitting a receipt at a restaurant. Usually, one person pays the whole bill, and everyone else tries to pay them back. But often, the person who paid ends up a bit short because calculating the exact tax and tip for everyone's share is a pain.

There are other apps that solve this, but when you're sitting at a table having a good time, no one wants to stop and download a new app or create an account. That's why I built Chickpea. It's a simple, free web app that you can use instantly without any friction.
