Privacy Policy

Privacy is simple here: I don't want your data.

No Accounts

You don't create an account to use Chickpea. I don't collect your email, phone number, or any other identifying information. The only "personal" data is whatever temporary name you type in for yourself on a bill.

Data Retention

Bill data is stored in Google Firestore for 7 days so you and your friends can access it. After that, it's deleted. Please note that anyone with the bill link can see, edit, or delete the bill data.

Images & AI

I do not store your receipt images. They are sent to Google's Gemini AI for processing. According to the free tier terms of the Gemini API, Google may use that data to train their models.

Analytics

I use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to monitor the app's performance and catch errors. This collects anonymous usage data but is not used to track you personally.

I built this for my friends, not to harvest user data.
